Born in 1964, Ilirjan Xhixha has undertaken an extraordinary journey from Albania to Italy, a path marked by determination and the search for freedom of expression. In March 1991, during his fourth year of studies in Painting at the Higher Institute of Arts in Tirana, he joined thousands of young Albanians to cross the sea to Italy, in search of new artistic opportunities.

Today, his art reflects this experience: each work is a fusion of tradition and innovation, of cultural roots and contemporary vision.
